GCSE English Language: Targeted Revision
A focused Paper 2 course for students who want to improve their marks
Why many students revise English Language but don’t see their marks improve
Many students revise English Language by completing past papers, yet their marks remain stubbornly similar.
For parents, this can be particularly frustrating. Unlike content-heavy subjects, it is often unclear what effective English Language revision should look like, or whether the work being done is actually helping a student improve.
As a GCSE English examiner, I see the same patterns repeatedly. Students write plenty, but their arguments are not always clearly shaped. They spot techniques, but struggle to develop ideas. They understand each text individually, but find comparison difficult to handle confidently under time pressure.
This course was designed to address those problems directly.
In this video, I explain:
- why past-paper revision alone often stalls progress
- the most common Paper 2 issues examiners see
- who this course is designed for, and who it is not
